FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Thalwil, Switzerland - September 19th, 2016 - Loriot has deployed another of its public LoRaWAN infrastructure nodes in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Following a successful long-term operation of existing LoRaWAN connectivity infrastructure nodes in Europe, Singapore, China, Australia and the United States, Loriot has now expanded its public server offering to South America. The server is compliant with the US variant of the LoRaWAN specification for the 915MHz band (902 MHz to 928 MHz), but can adapt any specific regional requirements and band plans.
Loriot is now being actively used in more than 70 countries on 6 continents. In all of the countries it provides solutions matching specific local ISM radio regulations, working ahead of the LoRaWAN standard specification to meet the market needs for LoRaWAN.
"Our North American server has already successfully boosted our market presence in US, Canada, but also in Mexico and many countries in South America, that use the same frequency bands as the US." said Vit Prajzler, CEO of Loriot, "Thanks to the new node in Sao Paulo, we can offer an unparalled user-experience and low latency, high throughput and high performance connectivity for the LoRa gateway and end-nodes anywhere in South America."
The community account is available on the server, allowing any user to connect up to 10 devices and 1 gateway and use our services for free. With this unique offering, we aim to provide a platform for sensor hardware manufacturers, gateway manufacturers, integrators, and application providers to develop their LoRaWAN solutions. The Loriot services in that case act as a market accelerator that simplifies the development and shortens the time-to-market for end-to-end IoT applications.
LORIOT is a Swiss start-up in the field of Internet of Things. Its core product today is software for secure, scalable, distributed, resilient operation of LoRaWAN networks and end-to-end applications.
LORIOT operates a world-wide geographically distributed server infrastructure that delivers low-latency access to LoRaWAN network and data management services. The infrastructure enables Loriot's users to deliver convincing Proof-of-Concept projects with extremely shortened time to market, minimized development effort, and fast return on investment. Clear path from PoC to large-scale network is available through the options single-tenant managed services and the option of software licensing of the LoRaWAN managment software.
Loriot works closely with LoRa gateway and end-device / sensor manufacturers to ensure high quality and compliance with security standards of complete LoRaWAN-based end-to-end application.
